Astartes

Following the 'Argosa Uprisings' in 482.M39, the Retributor Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes is tasked with assisting in the hunt for fleeing renegades and their leaders, and bringing down the Emperor's justice for their crimes

Assaulting an enemy vessel, the Adeptus Astartes face hordes of foes, cunning witchcraft, and terrifying unknown technology as they seek to bring rebellious enemies to justice.   A Warhammer 40,000 Animation by Syama Pedersen       "8K?... It looks more like 40K." -darkragelight5195   "I could sell my soul to Slaanesh just to watch full movie like this :/" -SIRLAWRENCE79   "This needs to be 2 hours longer and a trilogy." -dazann6747   "One guy btw. One guy made this. Most people know that already but it needs to be stated how fucking cool that guy is." -wowanimejoshua5149   "This is why Hollywood is no longer respected. A random guy and his computer can outproduce them." -AlbertBormant   "Sound design really sells it. This is amazingly done for sure!" -ryand4533   "The sound effects are unbelievable." -Theyoutuberviewer   "One of the best parts of this work of art is how the rebels the Astartes are fighting aren't fighting poorly. In fact, they're very tactically sound. They're laying in ambushes, fighting from pre-built defensive positions and using the high ground whenever they can, employing heavy weapons, they clearly know the terrain, and later they're even resorting to desperation tactics like suicide-bombing and killing their own comrades when they have a Space Marine dead-to-rights in a kill-box and not losing the opportunity.   And none of it matters. The Spaces Marines walk all over them where a boarding team made of baseline humans would have taken massive casualties because, between their enhancements, their equipment, and their own tactics, the Space Marines are just that unstoppable." -gingerlicious3500   "The marine breaking free of the psyker's grip at 4:55 with the bolt pistol shots and then being stopped right before the psyker's neck was hard as fuck. Love how the instant the marine breaks free he's moving with incredible speed to eliminate the enemy and then, even after being hurt by the psyker for a bit, kills him the instant he is released again. These marines are brutally efficient, deadly accurate, tactically aware, fearless, competent, swift, incredibly fast, and manage to look both agile and heavy at the same time. They also seem to operate pretty well as a team and support each other well which is cool to see. The guy that animated this absolutely killed it." -SlaaneshiVI   "This literally changed how Astartes were animated forever. The economy of movement, the power and solidity was nowhere near as good before this came out." -Discotekh_Dynasty   "I love how there is no hesitation at all when shit hits the fan. When the psyker starts going ape, dude shuts that down immediately." -haydona1845   "I love how overkill the two white helmet leaders are when it comes to that death scene. I forget how dangerous those psykers become once corrupted but it's something like 3+ of them for every 1 psyker. The marines are extremely efficient when using their means of destruction but they still put triple the resources necessary when killing him, eliminating literally any variable of survival from even being a possibility." -TerminalM193   "There's a pretty audible 'Kill me!' as he turns to the captain." -PhantomJavelin   "You can really feel the knives' pointiness. With a freight train behind it." -FrankRizo-nn3iy   "I love the tactical genius of it all, the rebel ship waited in the asteroid field until the incoming ships came into view of the scopes, THEN it powered on the engines at full tilt to try and escape, they hoped the Battle Barge outside the asteroid field wouldn't have noticed them, which is why the barge didn't engage directly, they used the small size of the infiltrating ships to hide behind the asteroids until they got close enough, and the fighter flanked left in a pincer with one of the decoys to draw their fire while the other stayed with the ship to cover its advance and take the hits from the front so the drillship would have time to pierce the defenses. One of the best examples of space combat I've seen." -evilrooster9960   "Someone pointed out the Space Marine's buddies teleporting on the other platforms at the end. Didn't realize until the 50th time watching this." -CDizzyy   "I would argue that if you slow it down and fullscreen it, it's definitely his 4 squad mates that all teleport in. Not only is this such a small yet amazing detail, but it makes the scale of that place exponentially more vast once you know those are Astartes on the other platforms." -ficklebud3507   "At 10:28, the subtle shadow covering his eye to show Chaos got him was astounding for animation." -codycastresana7506   "It's not Chaos. The guy that made the video said it wasn't Chaos, and you should use your imagination." -michaelarchangel42   "To date nothing comes close to this masterpiece, Secret Level came close." -Archer89201   "The person that made this helped with that Secret Level episode I'm pretty sure." -jaredarbuckle388   "Yup they did. Their name was featured in the credits." -ThunderCookie23   "All show no tell. A masterpiece in cinema." -Optable   "You can see where Blizzard got their ideas for Protoss and the marines." -YuumiMa1n   "I just came to see how the Delta Force grabbed Maduro." -myvideosetc.8271   "This is absolutely amazing! Or at least that's what I thought until I suddenly remembered that one time when half my Space Marine squad got shredded by Shuriken Catapults in a single round and the rest routed off the edge of the table." -jr3608   "Yeah, it does suck, but you gotta remember that the other armies' warriors are also as skilled if not more skilled then Space Marines sometimes. Like how Eldar technology is far superior to the humans' and they are more graceful and fleet of foot, but in terms of brute strength a Space Marine could rip an Eldar in half. It all balances out in the end." -firereaper1522   "The conclusion to the fight with the psykers is the ridiculously crisp style of animation you only ever see in some high-budget anime like Demon Slayer or something. I've just never seen melee combat like that in a 3D animation before. Also love the shot where the camera stays centered on the knife as it plunges home." -tomayto70   "I don't know how anyone could watch this and still not be interested in Warhammer 40K." -GG3695
