Paste an image from clipboard into Text Boxes

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

  Currently you have to add an image through the uploader which is a bit tedious especially if you are just trying to add an image that is just a quick snip or screengrab of your vtt page or a map you've created in TaleSpire, just as examples. I think the image uploader is great for when you want to do mass uploads, but it would be so much nicer to just be able to copy paste an image from your clipboard if you often use screengrabs or the snipping tool.   How does this feature request address the current situation?   My request would be to allow you to paste an image from your clipboard directly into a text-box. It would address the situation by removing several time-consuming steps from adding an image when the image happens to just be a screen capture.

What are other uses for this feature request?

  I don't know what the technical challenges or hurdles of this request are, but it would also be a nice touch if that pasting the image into the box, then saving, would also add the image into your uploaded images as well. Thus an added feature would be to make it a quick way to upload a lot of images at once, without leaving your article page.

There is already an extremely easy way to upload images and add them to an article while you write the article :)   Click on the big + button and then the blue option, "dragon-drop" drag'n'drop) it and click the save image button - then you can use it wherever you want on the article!

    I'm not even sure what the technical implications of this request are, as the image needs to be uploaded somewhere to be shown. Your final idea of having it automatically upload into the images is more of a requirement I'd think. But as an artist, please no. Stealing my art would be so much easier and the current way of having to credit the artist and going through these steps makes WA a better place when it comes to copyright and the like.

    I think a big reason why the image gallery is so important is because it prompts for attribution/credit, as well as allowing images to be sorted into folders.   Being able to add screen captures would make art theft significantly easier to execute, and it also would make it more difficult to keep track of images, especially for accounts that have limitations on image uploads or in regards to file size.
