I've been wanting to make an ARG in my world for some time, and I've added secret hidden codes and the lot, but I feel like getting people to DM me the codes so that I can manually give them access to the secret articles is just a lot.
It would be fun! I think a lot of us would love to use something like this feature at some point while writing, it would also make the experience of reading much more exciting, as now the readers can keep their eyes peeled for secret codes or whatnot to gain access to deeper lore of your worlds, like a mini ARG!
I imagine it would be an input command to place a "code receiver" or "code input" or whatever it would be called, it would be a simple box where you can type anything then enter, it would tell you if your answer is not valid or if you've unlocked an article from what you've inputted.
Bringing it down to lower guild levels would be an absolute godsend.
This is a glorious idea. I've used password-required articles several times, but it requires a PC to think about the article they should look up for their investigation *and* figure out a passcode *and* do a whole lot of multi tab navigating. If my crew of masked mystery marvels could use a passcode for a Secret without having to navigate away, that will really help the players with ADHD or executive function issues to stay engaged and on-mission.
Password-protected articles already exist for Sage+: https://www.worldanvil.com/learn/article-guides/article-password-protect That said, as GM, I'd love if the feature became available to lower guild ranks, too. Though that might be more of a policy change request than a feature request.
