Filter Function in Community Public Manuscripts

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I was taking a break from my own writing and was exploring the community novels/manuscripts and found I could not filter out based on my own interests. The search bar only works if I have specific title/author in mind. It doesn't apply to tags or genres. I can't even narrow it down to the language I want. For instance, I wanted to look at fantasy genre (high/low) but I wanted to filter out the 18+ and I wanted to read only the english/korean (if you had them) scripts. Nope, can't do that.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

A filter focusing on the tags, titles, authors and language would allow for readers to find and enjoy more manuscripts rather than scrolling through tons of unwanted content.

What are other uses for this feature request?

Expanding the search function to include the words used in the story description may help as well because there are a lot of keywords common in descriptions of simliar stories.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! While we're not against this, there's not enough support to prioritize it right now.

This is something that's surprising that it doesn't already exist. Not being able to filter things to ones taste is a bit of a discouragement to checking out other people's works, too, so adding a better filtering system would be helpful in boosting engagement, I think.
