Add Expired/Under Discussion to Suggestion options (Features Voting)

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Currently, the "Community Features Voting" includes filters for Accepted, In Progress, Implemented, Declined, and Closed. However, there is a phase called "Expired" where articles can sit while the team is reviewing them. The only way to view these articles is by manually editing the URL to include type=expired. Additionally, many accepted suggestions are actually "Under Discussion."   Suggest an "Under Discussion" filter which would include expired and a new status that is "Under Discussion" or automatically set a suggestion to Under Discussion instead of expired. "Under Review" is another option for the naming.   I suggest adding an "Under Discussion" filter that would include both expired articles and a new status called "Under Discussion." Alternatively, suggestions could be automatically set to "Under Discussion" instead of "Expired." Another possible name for this status could be "Under Review."

How does this feature request address the current situation?

This feature would allow users to see the "in-between" suggestions, providing an additional layer of categorization. This would prevent all under-discussion suggestions from being lumped together under the accepted category.

What are other uses for this feature request?

To be honest, I can't think of any other uses for this feature at the moment.   Note: Note: There is currently no category on this form for Admin, Features, etc. or "Other". This could be part of the addition to allow for these types of suggestions. Maybe just "Other"?

Sorry, for those that want it, here is the link I use for looking at the suggestions in between Open and their final disposition. https://www.worldanvil.com/community/voting/?type=expired
Thanks.. it just caught me that I was going to make a suggestion and didn't find it with the search (it was expired). Almost repeated the same/similar suggestion. Thankfully I waited a week for time, and it showed up as discussed. But I appreciate the consideration.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! We don't think this is necessary, but I thought I'd clarify what a couple of things mean, in case that helps:   "Expired" means that the feature suggestion has remained open for 20 days, after which point it doesn't accept any more votes or comments. As a general rule, we don't discuss suggestions until they have expired, and we almost always update the status of the suggestion on the same day we've discussed it. If you see that a sugestion is marked as "expired", it means we haven't discussed it yet.   When a suggestion is accepted "for investigation", it doesn't mean it's under discussion. It means we want to do it, but we don't know how, and therefore we need to do some research. When a feature has any status other than "expired", it means that whether we implement it or not is no longer under discussion.   There is no extra "in-between state" that happens after a suggestion has expired and before we make a decision.   Hope this helps!
