there is not an app currently and it would be amazing for every one and I mean everyone
there isn't currently an offline mode for world anvil an for writers and gamemasters on the go ideas when they maybe don't have good connection
also its also nice to have just so you don't get a blackout while running a game in real life
I think a cut down version where you can either just write a story or add notes that then sync with the website would be really useful as this could then be used for small bits of time, e.g. whilst traveling, whilst retaining the website for the bulk of the work. This would also reduce the amount of work it would cause.
The development team is making great progress on building quality-of-life features. An app would be a massive undertaking that would divert their efforts away from the current experience.
Although I don't run App's a lot for world building, the offline functionality for drafting data / information would be great and then data uploading / updating when you are online via a "Ready for World" platform would be nice instead of my current Office copy & paste system.
I have little freetime in my life, and that amount gets small each year. Please make this an app at least for presentation mode.
I would love an app, the in phone websites are difficult to navigate
While I also desire an app at some point, I agree that it has been suggested and denied enough times to stop pushing these requests.
This would be a massive undertaking and Take years to do. It would also lose a lot of its versatility.
+1 to show support--I would love to be able to work offline (preferably on an app that works on the desktop too). But as others have said, this has been asked before, and it doesn't seem likely to happen anytime soon, if at all. It's a lovely dream though.
If you search suggestions for "app" you'll easily find a dozen requests for one, including at least two from just last year. A simplified WA app is planned, but getting WA itself to version 1.0 is higher priority. More details on that app are in responses to older requests.
Similar suggestions have been declined multiple times in the past, mainly because the site is still in beta, the dev team ist very small, and in general they want to focus on improving the site rather than investing massive amounts of time and resources into programming an app
