Giving credence to these social/political ideologies only exacerbates the problem.
It would be wise to remove these options from our Character Templates so our community has a more wholesome and creative atmosphere. When I see "Pronoun Use" or "Gender Identity" I see a forced political motive that is harmful to our society and our WA community. We don't need to agree on Political or Social perspectives. I hope we can agree that WA is not the place for these movements or ideas. We want WA to be a place of productivity and creativity, not a political platform to push agendas that are highly volatile.The Team's Response
I am really sorry but this has been discussed at length with many members of the community during multiple open discussions. Both sides have been heard and the consensus has been that since these are optional, there is no reason for them to be removed.

I see this as an option to use, not as a text box you are forced to use or else, I don't know, some hyperbolic event would occur. As I said, there are some people who do use these, and I'd rather have them and not use them.

Politics may use both as points of discussion, but in and of themselves the subjects are no more political than food availability - actually, food availability is far more political, at least historically. You are seeing a political agenda where none exist.

on 2022-01-18 21:20I agree! Political ongoings can be a mess to untangle. It's like at a family dinner; you avoid talks about religion, politics and finances. But I think this is more about people and their preferences, not politics or sociopolitics. "Pronoun Use" or "Gender Identity" is about the self--the person/character. It's are there for whoever wants and chooses it. No one has to fill it out (and I don't think it shows up if you don't filll it out?) Because 1) world building is the hobby that encompasses the pursuit of knowledge--which is inherently creative, and 2) when it involves being inspired by others--which is wholesome, I personally don't want it removed.
