After the defeat of the Gummy Kraken, the Knights of Clawdiff are finally recognised by Umbranox and the Council as an official military faction. Celeste is presented with a new badge of office, greater authority… and one very handsome problem.
Silver Arcturus has been assigned as her second-in-command, and Celeste now has the unenviable task of teaching him how the Knights operate while also trying to prevent him from getting himself spectacularly killed. No pressure.
But celebration gives way to suspicion when new clues about the origins of the candy zombie apocalypse emerge from an unlikely source — a young paladin searching for answers of her own. As Celeste, Silver, and the Knights follow the trail, they begin to realise that the conspiracy behind the undead reaches far deeper into Clawdiff than anyone imagined.
