While every attempt has been made to properly translate this document, the detailed record of the rise and fall of Mrtis, including the use of enchanted inks with translation spells. It is certain that there will be some spelling errors or mistranslations that will be missed in the translation process. It should also be noted that translating cultural idioms from foreign cultures can be difficult at the best of times and that every effort has been made to find relevant Kishnagari equivalents. While myself and my team of editors have been working diligently on this, what is quite possibly one of the most important historical records of our modern era, mistakes do happen and we apologize for those errors that make it to publication.

Publisher's Note
This text is a historical record of events that have transpired on the planet of Ardu. This record has been transmitted to the planet Sol-3 (Earth) by means of direct majic information transfer using a traversable wormhole created by CERN Laboratories, Switzerland. As such, certain terms do not translate well to your understanding. This includes terms regarding the reference of distance and time. This note has been included to clarify this issue. The following is a table that coverts units of distance measure and time measurements to their equivalent on your world.
Distance:
1 Foot = .4126 Meters or 1.354 Imperial Feet
1 Mile = 2063.039 Meters or 6,768.5 Imperial Feet
Time:
The Great Council of Ardu uses the Imperial Celestial Calendar of Chi Eng Zhou due to its high level of accuracy.
One year on Ardu is comprised of 384.8 Earth days with one day lasting 28.6 Earth hours.
By the Imperial Celestial Calendar a single year consists of eleven months, each month has five seven day weeks.
Physically one hour on Ardu is roughly the same as 1.192 hours on Earth.
According to the Imperial Celestial Calendar system a single day is broken down into 40 hours; 20 day hours, 20 night hours. Meaning that one Imperial Celestial hour is the equivalent to .715 hours on Earth.
There is no standardized time keeping on Ardu, consequently any references to time periods less than one day should be considered an estimation.
While mechanical time keeping devices are very rare there is extensive use of solar time keeping, i.e. sun dials, as well as the use of candles to measure time in hours.
