The adventure starts where the plan ends!Hi, y'all! I'm Valen (he/she), a queer public historian, fiber artist jack-of-all-trades, and an educator of traditional trades and crafts. I'm also a proud bird parent to a waddle of voracious ducks - if your grocery shelves are ever out of cans of peas, blame me! My life influences my art and my art influences my life. Sometimes, a quilt project becomes a worldbuilding prompt. A fascination with the puzzle of prehistory spawned vast timescales. A love of birds turns into a unique sapient species. Then, another time, I stumbled onto this website called WorldAnvil in a desperate bid to organize the paracosm that has grown with me since my childhood: Babikiye! Babikiye is a sprawling sci-fantasy project which follows the lives and civilizations of unique peoples from two entangled yet disparate planets over the course of generations.
